my Kwanzan Cherry tree bloomed this year beautifully. Shortly after some of the brances did not drop the flowers and started to turn brown. The truck had split and we tried to remove the split by bark tracing. The bark was coming away from the trunk. We then sprayed the exposed bark with pruning spray paint. when we removed the bark we noticed a long thin flesh colored worm that appeared to be coming out of the trunk. We removed it. Was that a bore worm. Are they more. How else to we treat the tree to save it
