Hi Melissa,

I assume you are talking about approval given by council for trees to be removed?

In that case, the approval given by council to removal a tree still stands even though the tree itself is well... no longer standing. As you need no approval to remove a fallen tree, then that one is essentially null and void. So yes, it's still fine as long as the approval has not expired.

If in doubt, show your arborist the paperwork before they start work to confirm.
