5 years ago I planted what I thought was a contorted Hazel but I now think it is a Twisted Willow type of tree. It is in damp corner of my small garden and has grown to about 15'. I love the tree and the privacy it gives me but I am worried it is putting out damaging roots. Would lopping off the top stop it growing underground any further?
