I have been given a load of hardwood rounds for free and I have I'd'd the obvious one's oak, ash, alder , but there is two species I am struggling with, the first has a rough bark (similar to oak) and a very white wood when split but has a high water content, mold has began to grow on it, would this be willow? The other has a fairly smooth dark reddish bark and the cut ends have gone yellow where cut but when split the inner wood is bright white? Probably obvious to you guys but struggling to I'd my end? Thanks steve
