Damaged oak tree advise

Hi
Could somebody offer any advise. I have had a zip line in the garden for the kids for the past couple of years.
I attached it to the tree as the instructions stated but over time the wire rope appears to have strangled the trunk of the oak tree.

The diameter of the trunk is approx 10 inches and it now had a ring about 10mm deep the whole way round the trunk about 4 meters high.

Will the tree recover from this? There is no sign of sap weeping from the mark.

Please see the attached photo.

Many thanks
