I have Pear Tree that is diseased at the bottom maybe 30% of the trunk maybe a metre high. The tree had a dead limb near this point which fell off in dry heat in June.
The tree is 40ft high and alive in leaf and produces pears. The tree is at an odd angle.
Can anyone advise me my options I think the tree sacrificed a dead part with the heat but does this mean that I need to cut it down?
What is my situation in a Conservation area
