The single most important thing you can do is water it.

You could probably find an expensive arborist to recommend all sorts of even more expensive treatments with fertilisers and mycorrhizal fungi or whatever, but what your tree really needs is water.

You've severed the roots it's developed over the years to get the water it needs. It will take a while for them to grow back and in the mean time it needs help. Add water.

And don't forget to water it.

Did I mention water?
