My ancient flowering cherry tree is covered in small blackflies which have caused the leaves to curl, go black and drop off. It is a very large tree for which spraying would be difficult. There are other flowering trees in the garden and I fear that the problem may spread. What should I do? (I live in Scotland, by the way.)
