Hi Linton,

Since you say spring is coming where you are I'm thinking you are in the southern hemisphere. Gardenias should be pruned within two weeks of the finish of bloom. Some bloom only once and others bloom over spring and summer. It would be helpful if you knew which gardenia you have. This site is from the US in the northern hemisphere so the months are wrong, but the seasons are right for the instructions.
