I have a perenial flower that someone gave me a start and she did not know the name. It starts out as a fern like leaf but grows to about 2 to 3 feet in height, has a thick stem, with stickers on it when mature, has a pretty purple bloom, smells really bad when brushed against, and apparently keeps mosquitos away because I have it around my pond and do not have any mosquitoes there. Could you give me any ideas to its name? I live in southern Indiana. Thanks
