Trees adjacent to retaining walls.

Good morning,

I was looking to place some trees adjacent to some retaining walls, which consist of an reinforced concrete wall and a reinforced slope wall (where reinforcement is placed in layers in the soil). Obviously retaining walls are more engineering based, but i suppose it is similar to placing trees near foundations.

Now, my concern is the impact of the roots upon both retaining structures and whether you could advise what types of trees could be used and whether they should be planted at particular distances away from the structure.

I would really appreciate any advice that you could give me.

Kind Regards

Rob
