Not sure how to prune a magnolia but I have a question that I need help with. My neighbor was out yesterday and was spraying black paint on a 30 ft magnolia tree that straddles our property line. We don't get along so i did not ask him. Long story. Anyway, after he sprayed the tree in a few spots he wrapped it in white tape.
I personally have no stake in the tree but was just wondering why he would do that.
Is the tree sick? Does it need water?
