I planted a Silver Birch tree in my garden in spring 2006 and it seemed to be thriving. It grew at a steady rate and was pest/disease free. This spring however the branches have started to droop. At first I thought it was due to lack of water because of the dry April we had but the more I watered it the more it droops. I have now left it 2 weeks with only the rain watering it but it is still getting worse. The top branches now point downwards. Can anyone offer any advice?
