New British Standard for tree work

posted by Chris Hastie on Jan 10 2011 08:49

BS3998:2010: Tree work. Recommendations replaces the 1989 edition and has been completely revised and much expanded. It provides recommendations for carrying out many forms of tree work, from pruning and felling to managing weak structures and decay.

BS3998 has long been accepted as the base line for good practice in tree work. This revised version brings the standard up to date, building on the research and experience that has changed our understanding of trees in the last 20 years.

BS3998 is available from the BSI, or from Treesource.
