Italian Cypress trees turning rust colored and dying

Posted by Mrs. Rosengaus , Oct 03,2004,22:40       Forum

I have 40 Italian Cypresses planted along a driveway. They are 21 years old and over 20 ft. tall and 3 feet wide. We live in Palo Alto, CA. In the last six months, several of them are developing a rust color that is taking over the tree. Gradually, more of them are looking like this. They had been healthy with minimal maintenance until now. They have no visible pests. What is wrong with them?
