Oak Tree

Posted by kate , Feb 24,2005,01:36       Forum

Is it possible for a lightning bolt to hit an oak tree branch so that the oak tree branch show's no sign of external damage but the branch has an internal fracture ? If there is no visible sign of damage on the outside how do we know that oak trees are safe to walk under ?

thanks.
