Hi Dennis,

No, it's not the same. Included bark is "bark enclosed between branches with narrow angles of attachment, forming a wedge between the branches."

Qualifications? Just look at the pictures and anyone should be able to id what it is.

Fungus infestation can manifest itself in many ways from the trunk to the leaves. Depends on which fungus, which is a living organism.
