Magnolia Tree
We just purchased a home in North East Texas with a beautiful 50' to 60' magnolia tree in the front yard. My question regards the issue of the grass not growing under the tree. The tree has been pruned to where the lowest branch is 5' to 6' above the ground so it is very apparent that my grass does not grow there. The yard has Saint Augustine grass everywhere but under the tree. What can I do to make the grass grow or should I try and make a flower bed around the tree? I am at a loss. Please help me.
