Our location is NW England.
My husband is removing three huge laurel bushes which are taking over the garden! He has cut them down to ground level and is now trying to dig out the roots but this is proving very hard. If he cuts back the roots to 12" under the soil level will the laurels regrow? If so, is there anything that he can treat the roots with underground? There are other trees nearby and he does not want to damage their roots, also he want to be able to replant with some smaller bushes or trees. Thank you.
