Bark Stripped Tree

Posted by S. Seward , May 21,2005,02:49       Forum

My husband weed whipped our 7-year old pine tree, damaging all around the base of the tree. We originally planted the tree as a seedling and it currently stands about 2 feet high -- just a baby! What is our best course of action to give it it's best chance of success? Do we leave it alone, or tar the damaged area? Any suggestions? I understand that our chances are slim; however, I want to give it whatever best chance I can. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.
