sick chestnut oak

Posted by hre , Jul 20,2005,22:10       Forum

Our home in NC has an old chestnut oak that appears to be rotting at the base. It still produces leaves, but they don't look particularly well. Should we try to chisel the rot out and seal the wound, or what? Thanks for your help.
