Eucalyptus Tree Pruning
|Posted by roger , Aug 08,2005,04:01||Forum|
We have a Eucalyptus tree that we planted last fall. It is spindly and about 7 feet tall. We have it strapped up to a stick still. The branches appear to be too long and the trunk too skinny. All of the branches seem to be growing SW and no branches are growing on the NE side of the tree. The branches are really long. Do we need to routinely cut the branches back toward the trunk to encourage branch and trunk girth? Is there a web site to learn how to care for these trees? Thanks for any advice.
