fruit tree

Posted by Cheyna Dotseth , Sep 04,2005,22:09       Forum

I have a few trees with a cherry sized fruit on them. To me they look a lot like a crab apple, but when I picked one it was very soft and has a pit. The leaves are a med. to dark green and are serrated with a pointy tip. The fruit is good, and the skin seems a little tart. These trees are growing in my horse pasture and I need to know what they are so I know if they are poisanous to our horses. Thank you! Cheyna
