Snofozam Weeping Cherry
I have a weeping cherry that is the Snofozam or Snow Fountain variety. It has been grafted onto a larger trunk, about 2.5 inches in diameter. I planted the tree in the spring (I am in Salt Lake City, UT), and it looked awesome all summer. Recently, around the end of August, the tree dropped all of its leaves. I feared it had died, however where all of the leaves dropped, there were new buds forming. The buds are now opening, and the tree is flowering again! Sounds cool, but it is the middle of September! Is my tree confused as to what season it is? I worry that the new growth will be so tender that the rapidly declining temperatures outside will damage it...Any ideas???
