oak tree

Posted by Keith Parker , Nov 28,2006,13:22       Forum

I have a large 800mm diameter oak tree which is about 6m away from the corner of my house. The tree is about 13m high and some of the branches are overhanging my roof.
I have the tree pruned about every two years.
At the moment there is no evidence of damage to the house.
I am very much against cutting down of any trees, yet alone a beautiful oak tree, but is there any likelihood that this tree could damage the foundations of my house in the near future & would it be wise to chop it down now?

Thankyou in anticipation of your advise.
