Sounds like a nice plant,
I am having trouble with this Tree, I have witnessed Benjis oozing sap before, I believe this is normal but my feelings are as follows;
Try exposing the Tree to a little more of everything, like a lil more water, alil more sun, or a lil more shade whichever it may need more of y'know?
Windiness is always a pleasant surprise to a tree, but too much of anything could shock your plant, so be careful.
If the plant has had too much water, I may suggest that you make sure that there is not too much soil in around the base of the trunk, I do know that these trees are tolerant of dry conditions, so perhaps you will send me a photo so I can see, it really is hard to tell with so little information. Thanx, have a good day. Jeffery
