Young Pear Tree

Posted by Raymond Thompson , Mar 28,2007,17:08       Forum

Dear Greenfingers,
I planted a young Pear Tree about 3 years ago, and up to now it has only produced nice flowers every Spring, they are just starting to come through now.
The soil was very good when the tree was planted, witness the fact that all my other plants in the same vicinity are flourishing.
The tree now is about 5ft tall, and I have never pruned it.
Can I expect to get any fruit this year?
Your comments /advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for any comments.
