Lifespan of Magnolia Trees
|Posted by Dave , May 02,2003,16:55||Forum|
We live just north of Lansing, Michigan and have a fairly large Magnolia tree in our yard. We have a two story house, and it is slightly taller than the lowest peak. Last year it never blossomed and so far this year, we have not seen any signs of blossoms. What signs should we look for to determine if the tree is dead or not? We have had problems with grubs in the yard, and wonder if this may be a contributing factor. Limbs have been trimmed and sprayed where the trimming has been done. The base of the trunk appears white and broken up just above ground level.
Thank you for your assistance.
