Those of you that became involved with the SSA conference at Moulton College
this year may remember the student who came second in the competition, Ben
Acerman.
After finishing college he decided to set up on his own, a brave decision
for someone straight out of college but good luck to him that's what I say.
However just before he finished his course some git broke into his van and
nicked all his climbing gear and chainsaw, not the best start to a new
enterprise. Not deterred he left college bought himself a truck, second hand
Arbor-eater chipper and replaced his climbing gear.
Last week some thieving scumbags broke into the lockup where he stores his
chipper and did away with it. Now this is bad luck, he sees the bright side
of it and says it gives him the opportunity to get a new chipper.
Nigel Smith and myself see it as just another barrier put in the way of a
promising young Arborist seeing as now the insurance company won't insure
him again.
If anyone is offered or hears of a very cheap Arbor-eater chipper going
could you let Nigel of myself know so we can let Ben know so he can tell the
boys in blue.
Thanks
