A couple of things:

Incorporate woodchip mulch into your planting schemes - if you do any - or
better still persuade your local authority to do it. For the first time, this
year we have taken chip from local contractors as we no longer produce
sufficient quantities in-house to mulch our newly planted and young trees -
1000 x 2m mulch rings uses a lot of wood chip!

In relation to woodchip burners there is a company based in Sussex called
'Nordist' who produce such beasts, specialising in units to heat small
businesses, farms and schools etc. It's run by a bloke called Tony Redman
(01825 841222) who is both knowledgeable and approachable should anyone be
interested.
