During the tree planting season I am often asked by members of the public what reasons I have for planting trees in their street, outside their house and in the way of their view. My reasons are usually, to create a more attractive landscape, to improve the quality of air and to reduce the speed of traffic using that particular stretch of highway. I have access to research notes on the first two points, but with regard to the last point, (speed reduction), I am unable to find any relating research notes. I would appreciate it if anyone out there could help me out on this one. Thanks in advance, Chris.
