1. Talk to a lawyer
2. Talk to a lawyer again
3. Publicise it to shame the LPA
4. Ask the conservation group why they didn't object to the proposals at the
planning stage
5. Don't listen to Bill on this!
    5a) no compensation due, nor liability, for a planning reason for
refusal based on a tree 
    5b) planning permission can be refused for trees 'off the plot'
