I use the Helios CD: although it could contain more plants, the searchable
database it provides makes it quite helpful for what it does carry.

For those who are unfamiliar with Helios, it is a JCLI joint venture between
various bodies (inc. the AA) and lets you search under a host of attribute
criteria to arrive at a list of plants that match the selected requirements
(eg, small-to-medium shrub, blue flowers, full sun, free draining soil =
Lavandula sp, etc). Covers trees, shrubs, conifers, perrenials, bamboos,
etc. Cost £90 and due to be updated soon.
