Hello all,
Found myself in Wiltshire at the weekend where I visited Stourhead, a NT property near Stourton. Some jolly fine trees there if anyone ever finds themselves in that neck of the woods. In particular a jolly fine and huge cavity ridden Liriodendron that has been savagely reduced (to reduce lever arms presumably) but it has recovered well: Just to show us that there are other trees we could plant in streets that would eventually tolerate crown reduction or pollarding.....
Bill.
