There's a group of quite good Wellingtonias around Edgware - Grove Road just off the A5 comes to mind. If you're anywhere in the area you won't miss them. At least two Leyland cypresses are not only TPO'd, they've had applications for felling or topping dismissed at appeal. One was in the NW, Bolton I think and the other in Kent. Both were individual trees that had not previously been pruned so were quite good specimens, if not exactly the most interesting things.
