Tree Theft

With all this talk of tool theft, I wondered if any one's ever had any semi-mature trees stolen from yard or site?
Sometimes it's convenient to have trees delivered to site the day before planting.
I probably need to tweek my terms and condition, but I rather assume they belong to me until they're in the ground?
It would be fairly laborious to steal and indeed resell a load of 20-25's, but I guess anything that's not nailed down is tempting to an enterprising passer-by?
Certainly, I've known xmas trees, shelters, canes and deer fencing to be stolen out of plantations, but nothing bigger?
