Member of the chartered institute of arbitration (www.arbitrators.org)

The Institute welcomes applications from members of all professions, who
while not necessarily aspiring to Fellowship or practising as an arbitrator
have become involved with commercial dispute resolution as part of their
primary professional role.
Membership of the Institute provides a greater understanding of the
procedures and practices of dispute resolution.

There are three grades of membership of the Institute. These are:

  a.. Associate Member (ACIArb)

  b.. Member (MCIArb)
  c.. Fellow (FCIArb/Chartered Arbitrator)
The Institute provides education and training to help you attain all these
levels. The courses are taught by experienced arbitrators and academics.
Entry is through the Associate grade.

Don't know about the last bit but any knowledge they have about trees is
likely to be through experience rather than qualifications.

As for the other bits - can't help

relate to an entirely different sphere of knowledge Can any of you put me
  out of my ignorance?
