Dear All
I am in the early stages of trying to arrange a study tour for a group of 2nd
year ND Arb students this coming Easter. Having had a thoroughly enjoyable
and informative study tour to Holland myself in 1996 I am keen to return with
my own group. I have a rough idea of what I would like to include on the
itinery.
A tree nursery specialising in the growing of advanced nursery
stock/semi-mature trees.
A visit / talk by one of Amsterdams municipal tree officers.
A visit to a botanical garden/arboretum
A visit to a working site of established Dutch arboricultural contractors
An research institution dealing with tree pathology.
I would be interested to know if any of the forum have any knowledge,
experience, contacts or ideas with regards to arboriculture in Holland. The
internet is a wonderful place for gathering information, but my command of
the language is non-existent and subsequently makes things a little tricky.
If any one can offer any help or guidance please do not hesitate to contact
me off-forum.
Many thanks in anticipation.
