Dear All
I know this isn't tree related but I can't think of a better way of
getting
a feel for what happens in other parts of Britain and in a few other
countries perhaps.

Last Friday we had a power cut lasting 10 hours.
Yesterday we had another one lasting 5

These are the 7th and 8th of 2004. The shortest has been about 2 hours.

Only one, maybe two coincided with high winds.

The cuts usually affect the same areas around here namely: Brighton
and then
a string of villages heading north and north-east out of Brighton.

Is this frequency and length of cuts about par for the course?

Has anyone successfully sought compensation?

I've tried to ring Seeboard but no one picks up the 'phone

Peter
