I am laid up after an operation still in considerable pain.

Some ***** has just started a chipper in the street outside. I never
noticed
how much noise they make.

Why can't they be made quieter after all generators, pumps etc. have been
quietened over the years.

If you do decide to go down this route you may want to contact Exeter
City
Council and also see the brief thread on the archive:
http://lists.tree-care.info/uktc/archive/2004/msg04817.php

Also contact me off forum as I have thought about this to a limited
extent,
whilst at ECC.
