I expect Chris, or anyone who has attended an ICF event recently (e.g.
the
regional conference in Wales) will probably know more, but my
understanding
is that discussions are ongoing towards a vote as to whether to be
swallowed up or not, with a pretty clear official enthusiasm to
progress
that way. I guess that must be sometime this year.

Bryn

I believe the merger is a foregone conclusion and always has been. You
might say the institute wants what's best for the institute rather than
necessarily its members (whose vote is non-binding).

I'm not sure the change will benefit foresters, let alone arbs.

Adam
