Rick, I never heard of Corsican being used except sold by dodgy traders, the
bunches and sprays of this tree are less than decorative. (If I'm being
unfair it is because I spent too long thinning them on piece work)
As to what's best, well firs keep their needles longer in centrally heated
homes, but I buy Norway spruce and practice parsimony on the radiators.
Anna Pavord in my saturday comic suggested beech for a home made tree
because of the sharp slender buds and useful twig architecture, an
interesting choice I thought.
