A lead injection seems to be the answer. Those of the sporting fraternity
pay a fortune for somewhere to shoot. Come up with a good lease and the deer
could be a money earner to you or your client.
As an alternative, although I never have dealt with Muntjac, and am open to
correction I would suggest a=that as they're small, a 50p 1.2m tree guard
and 30p stake to attach it to may be worth considering.

I'm planting 40 acres of native woodland and orchard, and have just been
made aware that we have occasional visits from some Muntjac deer, is
there a viable alternative to stock proof fencing (I can't really afford
the planting AND 2000 mtrs @ 13.50)
