----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Page" <mbp.micfor@xxxxxxx.net> I thought I was the only one who recognised deer for what they are. Wonderful, cheap, lean, organic meat (apart from the lead content) meat for a Sunday. A hundred years ago they'd tie a goat up to tempt tigers, so plant more orchards to tempt deer, and have them with fruit of the orchard sauce! 'Bambi was the most environmentally destructive film ever made.' (Please discuss). Mark Page Here Here I do remember being berated by the female companion of a friend when I referred to a group of deer as Venison. No no she said, "they aren't called venison they are deer" To her they were a group of bambis and all I could see was a good meal. I didn't have the "hart" to explain.
