If there is any doubt about the "amenity quality" of a tree I have an
Excel spreadsheet of my own creation that derives a score which must
exceed a threshold in order for the TPO to be "defendable". It fits on
one side of A4 and I also have it on my PDA for field use. I am prepared
to share it with individual correspondents.

And another thing,
just as a matter of interest and possibly to inform an appeal that I'm
involved with; We've discussed at some length amenty valuation systems
and their
benefits or otherwise, but how many of you LA bods do actually have a
system of
valuation for TPOs?

Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Chesterfield, North EAst Derbyshire
don't but
East Riding of Yorks do. They will use Heliwell and TEMPO if you push
em, but
are bespoke systems less common than this or what?

Thanks again, as usual.

Bill.
