Planted as 1+1s, main species ash and oak. Can anyone give me a rough idea of how long it will be before we have a top height of 15m. I'm sure Fieldbook39 would help, but its on the shelf at home and I need to get areasonedanswer to planners now. -- Chris Hastie Strategy Officer (Arboriculture) Warwick District Council http://www.warwickdc.gov.uk/trees
Chris Never mind the text books as they mostly apply to forestry sites. The key question is what sort of agricultural land - grass or cereal?
500 mm/ yr on ex-arable is not unreasonable with good initial weed
control.
50mm/ yr on compacted grassland with poor weed control is not uncommon. Regards Adam -- The UK Tree Care mailing list To unsubscribe send mailto:uktc-unsubscribe@xxxxxx.tree-care.info The UKTC is supported by The Arbor Centre http://www.arborcentre.co.uk/
