I thought Straw had a greater affinity for oil than water, hence its use for 
making 'booms' for oil spills from tankers, might be something to cobble 
together there.

Otherwise I happened to notice that golf courses have spill kits for mopping 
up oil spilt on Greens (apologies to God and St Francis of course) They might 
be able to cobble some scheme together.
