Hi Scott
The only attempt that I know of to equate the various quals has been
done by the Arb Assoc. Those that are nationally recognised e.i.
accepted by QCA, they are easy to put into the NQF levels. Such quals as
ISA ones are put into the levels as a best estimation of the their
level. Internationally the NQF levels should be understood, certainly my
understanding is that places like New Zealand would look at the levels
if an arborist wished to go and work there and accept a UK
qualification.

Dave,
Sorry if you posted this already in the recent discussion, but is there
a web site that lists the relative levels of the various UK "tickets" in
arboriculture?
And have the ISA Certified Arborist and Board Certified Master Arborist
tickets been placed (formally or informally) in the scheme?
I ask from general curiosity but also becasue there seems to be
increasing interest in an international view, certainly sharing ideas,
but also itinerant arbs or travelling consultants.

Andrew
Cert arb is a NQFlevel 2 qualification, Tech Cert is level 3 and PD
arb
is level 6. Tech Cert is the next step for you especially if you are
coming from a practical background but want to make the move towards
more qualifications and advisory/consultancy work or tree officer.
