Jim Unwin, asked the question...

"How competent is a person who only wants to be insured for one job?"

To answer that question diplomatically I will simply ask another one.

How wise is a person who spends money on insurance they do not need?

Simon Valente.

PS Rob, have you tried contacting any big insurance company and asking to
speak directly to one of their insurance underwriters?

Hi,

Does anyone know, or has anyone heard of insurance for one-off jobs (Jobs
that have a defined start and end i.e. felling)? I understand that as Arb
consultants an ongoing policy is required to indemnify against claims that
could occur in the future but I can so no reason why, for example, the
 take
down of one tree cannot be insured on a single activity basis. Any views?

Regards

rob
