Wolfe's use of the phrase "crock of s*it" in Bonfire of the Vanities. It
appeals to the cynic in me; at the end of the rainbow there isn't
actually a crock
of gold......
Bill, I'll see your cynic and raise you a cockeyed optimist. The crock
is not of gold, nor s*it, but highly fertile compost abounding with
bioactivity.
